Candle label guide
Wax melt labels
Wax melts sell next to candles at markets and online, and they need their own labels: smaller, usually rectangular, and with a warning that fits how melts are used.
What to put on a wax melt label
- Brand and scent name on the front — the scent name is what buyers scan for.
- Net weight, for example "2.5 oz".
- How to use, for example "Place one or two cubes in a wax warmer".
- Safety text on the back, such as: "Use only in a wax warmer. Never leave a warmer unattended. Keep away from children and pets. Not edible." Check the rules for where you sell.
- Your business name and a website or city.
Sizes for clamshells and snap bars
Clamshell and snap-bar packs come in many sizes, so measure the flat top of yours and choose a rectangle label slightly smaller. Many makers put a front label on the lid and a smaller warning label on the back. Our generator's 3 × 2" rectangle layout fits many clamshell lids; check yours first.
Make melts match your candles
If you already have candle labels, design your melt labels in the same style so they sit together as one brand. Start from your candle label and use "Same style, new scent", or pick the same style below and enter your melt scent.
